A place to put your stuff and things too.

photo 2This is the Jankins Fish Hook©. It’s yet another attempt at building fun types of storage and space savers. This one in particular is for hanging your jackets, scarves, hats, ghost skins and anything else you can think of. (you sick freak. I mean ‘Ghost skins’ !!?! C’mon son!) This will be sold right along side the Jankins mouth shelf© as original pieces on Etsy. And like all pieces each one will be hand-made by yours truly.

C’mon man! What’s in the BOX!

photo 2Chill out. It’s not Gwyneths head. It’s just gold coins and fire flowers.Trying to get out of the habit of posting unfinished work but I made me some power up boxes straight from the pixels of my favorite ‘Super Mario Brothers’ games and I had to put ‘em up. These are all life-size hand-made replicas made to hang on your wall and store your coins and raccoon leaves and shit. Or if your just a normal boring person and not a shroom popping, dimension hopping plumber, I’m sure you could put books or clothes in ‘em. something boring like an actual potted plant instead of a bitchin fire flower, but whatever. Anyway, this is just more of the stuff I’ll be putting on Etsy.

The Aphex Generation

bonesawBeen awhile. I’ve made some new art and a lot of new music.  I would like to share some of the latter with you at the moment. The title of the post refers to a generation raised on electronic music pioneered by Richard James better known as “Aphex Twin”. Acts like Autechre, Plaid, Boards of Canada, Squarepusher, Venetian Snares and Otto Von Shirach  (just to name some of my favorites) are groups that owe some due credit to Aphex Twin. Granted, all of the groups named have not only developed their own sense of style but have evolved and inspired other acts. In a world of Skrillex, Lil Weezie’s and LMFAO’s I am very proud to continue to make dated, out of style breakcore music, from the Aphex generation. And with that I present to you, my two latest endeavors, Table Saw and Everything. Please enjoy. And if you are a fan of electronic music and any of the artist listed in this post, I implore you to check out some of the other tracks on my sound cloud page HERE. Thank you.angelsaw copy

A place to put your stuff and things.

mouth shelf

If you’re like me, you love stuff and things. Toys, books, little electronic knick knacks that serve no purpose other than to light up, make noise and slowly make you regret ever purchasing the thing in the first place. Shit like that. You know what sucks about having a fondness for stuff and things? Not having a place to put your stuff and things. In New York you don’t get a lot of room for bookshelves and night stands. So I find that floating-shelves make great space saving places to put your shit, Wouldn’t it be straight bitchin if that very shelf was actually more stuff and things!? Enter my new Jankins Floating Mouth Shelf™. One of the first pieces selling on my upcoming Etsy store. I can get you one before that if ya want though.

Album artwork

I made a couple of acid tracks last month and I wanted to release them on bandcamp. So I made a couple of covers for the e.p. I’m not sure if I’m still gonna put em up on bandcamp or not but until I figure that out here is some of the art behind the project. And here’s a link to some of those tracks on soundcloud. Enjoy! Or don’t, I don’t care anymore. http://soundcloud.com/hatesnack/pyrophilia-liber-303-red  http://soundcloud.com/hatesnack/apexpre

Mirrors and shizz of that nature.

So it’s been a minute yeah? I’ve been moving around a lot over the past six months but now that I finally have a permanent home for all of my creations and projects I can catch up on a bunch of old stuff. Forgive me though, my scanner was destroyed during the move so it may be a second before I can post like woah. Yeah, I said it.

Mass Transit # 1

I spend about five hours a day and five days a week in New York transit. I love it! Sure it can be congested and rank sometimes but it can also be better than a movie. I’ve been keeping a comic journal on my trips to work and after a little inking and coloring I’m going to share my commute  with you. The first couple are kinda old. I started the journal last year but the digital bits are kinda recent. Anyway, enough talk. Enjoy!

Lovecraftian Flu

What kind of jerk face gets sick on the first day of summer with some type of atomic space flu that last for three to four weeks? That would be this jerk face. I’ve been in bed for the most part which means I haven’t been doing the Toy Mech thing but I got a little something. You might remember last Halloween I mentioned an H.P. Lovecraft project I was revamping. No, I’m not about to lose focus of Toy Mech and start working on another unfinished project. I just thought I’d color some old character shots from said project since light photoshopping is something I can do while bed ridden. Eventually I will get around to finishing and releasing my Lovecraft tale. ( hopefully before Lovecraft becomes the next “zombies” and is ruined for me by the masses) But right now I’ve got to focus. Anyway, here’s some Lovecraftian horror, Jankins style.

Monsters n junk

I haven’t posted a lot of drawings lately. Mainly because I’m in-between places so I don’t have regular access to my scanner. However, that’s just an excuse because I have a ton of old art just sitting around stinking up my computer. Here some monsters from my kaiju sketch book. The same one that created a great deal of creatures I use in Toy Mech, Gnosis and F-Bomb.
