A place to put your stuff and things too.

photo 2This is the Jankins Fish Hook©. It’s yet another attempt at building fun types of storage and space savers. This one in particular is for hanging your jackets, scarves, hats, ghost skins and anything else you can think of. (you sick freak. I mean ‘Ghost skins’ !!?! C’mon son!) This will be sold right along side the Jankins mouth shelf© as original pieces on Etsy. And like all pieces each one will be hand-made by yours truly.

Mirrors and shizz of that nature.

So it’s been a minute yeah? I’ve been moving around a lot over the past six months but now that I finally have a permanent home for all of my creations and projects I can catch up on a bunch of old stuff. Forgive me though, my scanner was destroyed during the move so it may be a second before I can post like woah. Yeah, I said it.

Mass Transit # 1

I spend about five hours a day and five days a week in New York transit. I love it! Sure it can be congested and rank sometimes but it can also be better than a movie. I’ve been keeping a comic journal on my trips to work and after a little inking and coloring I’m going to share my commute  with you. The first couple are kinda old. I started the journal last year but the digital bits are kinda recent. Anyway, enough talk. Enjoy!

Monsters n junk

I haven’t posted a lot of drawings lately. Mainly because I’m in-between places so I don’t have regular access to my scanner. However, that’s just an excuse because I have a ton of old art just sitting around stinking up my computer. Here some monsters from my kaiju sketch book. The same one that created a great deal of creatures I use in Toy Mech, Gnosis and F-Bomb.

Toy Mech: The Mongo-1

So the  goodies kinda have a cool pad. Kevin, who acts as the leader, brains and resident inventor of the ‘Toy Mech‘ protagonist, has built a cozy mobile home for his motley crew. The Mongo-1 will have awesome interior design inspired by the cut away’s of my boy Wes Anderson.(Think the train in Darjeeling limited or Steve Zissou and his yellow submarine) If your nice, maybe I’ll show ya some of the sketches of Mongos guts. Mongo-1, another fun piece to make.

Toy Mech: Pretty Pants Pete

Happy Monday! Grab the kids, this is a post for the family. No, really, this is Pretty Pants Pete. He’s one of the more darker characters from ‘Toy Mech‘. He was extremely fun to make and I’m very pleased with how he came out. He won’t be appearing in Toy Mech for a while so I thought that I’d give him a little photo shoot. Enjoy!

Pretty Pants Pete was  intended for the world of F-bomb and Gnosis the Cat. He fits in better in the Toy Mech setting but he’ll still appear in those other titles.

Toy Mech: Pig Wing

Little pig is one of the main protagonist, I just didn’t make her when I took that shot of Beans and co. Anyway, Pig is cool. She has one eye. She’s not cool because she has one eye. She’s just cool. Although her missing eye is pretty cool too. It pops up throughout the story.

Toy Mech: Lally the Left

Another lost part of the mega mech ” Fugazer-Z“. Lally is a sentient left giant robot hand and he’s the resident bully in the world of “Toy Mech“. Not so much a villian as he is just an asshole. I borrowed the motion design for Lally from John K.‘s “New Adventures of Mighty Mouse” villian ‘The Glove‘. Lally is indeed a giant hand but since becoming sentient, he now walks and talks like a person. But his body motion shifts constantly between being a hand and walking on two fingers human style. Enough talk, here’s some shots my sweet babies. Enjoy, Lally was fun too make.
