Happy Monday! Grab the kids, this is a post for the family. No, really, this is Pretty Pants Pete. He’s one of the more darker characters from ‘Toy Mech‘. He was extremely fun to make and I’m very pleased with how he came out. He won’t be appearing in Toy Mech for a while so I thought that I’d give him a little photo shoot. Enjoy!
Pretty Pants Pete was intended for the world of F-bomb and Gnosis the Cat. He fits in better in the Toy Mech setting but he’ll still appear in those other titles.
Little pig is one of the main protagonist, I just didn’t make her when I took that shot of Beans and co. Anyway, Pig is cool. She has one eye. She’s not cool because she has one eye. She’s just cool. Although her missing eye is pretty cool too. It pops up throughout the story.
Yeah, It’s more previews of Toy Mech production. Not a Toy Mech comic. It’s gonna be awhile but no worries, that’s what these little previews are for. This is another Kaiju guy like Estrid. He was originally a kaiju monster I designed for my F- bomb comic, but when It came down to it F-Bomb had way to many monsters and I wasn’t trying to create the next “Pokemon“.
This is Estrid. He’s one of the many Kaiju style trouble makers that pop up in the “Toy Mech” world. He was a fun character to make and tons of fun to pose!

When I first started making these things they all kinda followed the same template. You can kinda notice with the first run of “Chaos City” characters. After about 3 or 4 runs I realized I needed to break out of that box. Have some fun. Here’s some from a batch that got sent to Japan in 2006. I used to have a friend/buyer living there. Back in my ‘Toy Tokyo’ consignment days.
I used to work for BKI. First on the floor selling and towards the end in receiving which I prefer to selling hipsters ironic t-shirts. I kinda hate that place but none the less it gave me two things. I met some of my favorite people in the world there and I’m fortunate to still know them. The second is a chance to design and sell my own line of custom totes. They screwed me on that deal in the end by jacking up the price to an unreasonable amount and fucking me on the profits. Regardless, every last bag sold and that was the last time I let BKI slide one in me without buying me a drink first. As I mentioned before, These are my design and I actually hand-made each and every piece that sold, down to the bone. My little sister slash best friend slash best photographer EVER, Chloe, documented some of the one man assembly.
Yeah, I make dolls. What of it. You think that’s embarrassing? Wait till you get your ass handed to you by someone who makes dolls. Just kidding.(not really) I heard someone call it ” soft sculpture” one day and I thought to myself: “That kinda sounds pretentious. But It also sounds better than saying I make dolls.” These are some characters from a kids cartoon I’m constantly trying to pitch. It’s called ‘Chaos City’ and if I haven’t posted about it before then I will soon. Apologies to those who “know me” know me, since all of these pictures are old chances are you’ve seen them already. But I’m making brand new stuff which is why I should post these out of the way.
Like I said, these are old shits. These were made right before I moved to NY to give you an idea. Stay tuned for more old soft sculpture and get ready for a new batch. Some stuff I’m making for Etsy.
